Weekly Update 1125 November 2022 (by admin) |
Dear parents and carers,
We have had a calmer week at school with the recent introduction of the silent corridor system. The children have responded fantastically and hopefully they have commented on the difference it makes in the school.
Thank you to everyone who came to make an advent calendar after school on Friday. Please send in a photograph of any ones which are finished for the website!
Well done to Rome Class for an impressive assembly on Monday. I am amazed at how confident the children are to share their learning and speak in front of an audience. Their writing skills are particularly excellent!
Illness in School
We have seen an increase in the number of pupils feeling unwell in school. We are still promoting good attendance in school to help pupils to keep up with their learning. The NHS have developed an APP (attached) for parents to use to check for symptoms and to decide whether to seek further medical attention. You can also visit the website: https://what0-18.nhs.uk/

Well done to our Super Citizens who have been nominated this month for displaying the Core Values in the school. Congratulations to:

Congratulations to our newly appointed Assistant Headteachers
We are really excited to announce that after a gruelling day of interviews, Miss Cox and Mrs Bogalski have been appointed in new roles from January. Miss Cox will be the Assistant Headteacher for years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage Two) and Mrs Bogalski will be the Assistant Headteacher for Foundation Stage and Years 1 and 2 (Key Stage One). They will be released for one day a week to perform their role with teachers covering the class.
Mrs Hopkins and I are not going anywhere! The Governors recognise the growing roles of leaders in the school and the need for a middle leadership team; dedicated to each area of the school.
Top Tips for Parents
This week I thought it may be a good idea to share a resource created by Vodafone on Digital Parenting. We are all learning how to parent in a world we didn’t grow up in. I often tell the children about the only worry I had a child being that I had 10p to call home in case of an emergency! Please take time to look at the resource with some ideas on how to navigate the parenting challenges we now face with the increase in technology.
Have a wonderful weekend!
